What I hear

My little chatter box is coming up with new sentences daily.

I think the longest sentence I heard from her the other day was

"I sorry mama-it was a accident-I apologize"

Then Danny has also taught her the correct names for all family members in place of their "nicknames" - Morgan has a super cute video of this but we can't figure out how to upload it yet.

She also can tell you what city and state she lives in "Summit- Sippi"

Of course her favorite phrase is "MY DO IT!!!" Oh yes my independent girl!

And definitely "NO Mam!"

Last night she told me "Bible Stories" and when we got to Moses story she started reciting it before I began "Step Step Step" she said so I said who is this and she said "Moses" and I said what is he doing and she said "People walk- Bread" and then she beamed with a smile "Jesus Loves Me!"

Yes sweetheart he does! :)

"My rabbit sweet-his name Bunny Rabbit SnuggleBunny" "I mama's snugglebunny!"

The morning we were going to zoo she woke up "Mama Wake UP!" "I cited-go to zoo TODAY!"

When I asked her what we were going to see with no instruction she said "Zebra, Giraffe, Elephant, Hippo."

You can see pictures from first trip to Audobon zoo here-Silly mommy took her "real" camera but forgot the battery at the house! OOPS!

And FINALLY it is Spring! Here are a few shots I was able to grab of her admiring the flowers.

Luck is like a rubber ball

My dad wrote this poem sometime in his youth- he told it to me when I was about 10 and I have remembered it ever since. Then on my wedding rehearsal night he said it again in his speech not knowing that I knew it.

Luck is like a rubber ball,

bouncing high and low,

Somestimes it's very slow to come,

but very quick to go.

It comes when least expected to drive away life's cares,

but yet when we turn around we find it isn't there.

Some say we make our own good luck,

we gain what we are due, but many find this fact is very far from true.

Well Carsyn and I have not had the greatest luck these past few days! :(

Her beloved Mr. Cow is missing. She had him in the car when we took our road trip to Jackson yesterday and now I can't find him. I can't recall if she took him into somewhere (Im thinking perhaps a gas station) and left him or not but he is not here. When we realized he was missing it was bedtime. I quickly grabbed her stuff dog that used to also be in her crib and gave him to her. She settled with him only to continue to ask for COW about 20 more times. Finally she went to sleep. I think I was more upset than her. I tried to get online to order her a new one but the transaction wouldn't go through for some reason? It took her several hours after she awoke this morning to realize he wasn't here but she has cried for him several times throughout the day. She always settles for her puppy but I hate Mr. Cow is gone! I finally ordered her new one since I started this post and he should arrive in the next day or so we shall see if she takes to him.

Also today I might have experienced one of my most embarrassing moments ever. I had a photo shoot planned for 9AM at my house. I do not like taking photos at my home but I do have perfect lighting here and until I can conjure up enough business to get me a studio I am having to do what I can. So anyway Danny was supposed to be gone by 9 as he always is for work and he was to take Carsyn with him. At 8:40 he got in the shower...at 9 my clients arrived(luckily good college friends and not strangers)...Carsyn proceeded to showboat to them...Finally at 9:15 Danny leaves with Carsyn screaming to stay here. I am flustered but I try to get my bearings to get this photo shoot started. At 9:45 I am walking backwards with my camera to my face trying to photograph this baby and her mother and I fall down into an air vent hole that was missing its cover. Needless to say I sliced my foot up and had to go to the Immediate care for a tetnus and to have the skin removed. Now I am hobbling around on one good foot and the dr. says it will probably take 6 weeks for the skin to re-grow. Ugh- so frustrating and I can't believe I did that! The air vent cover was supposed to be re-painted and replaced this week too! I am just happy it happened to me and not Carsyn or Heaven forbid my clients!!! Surprisingly this is the image I was attempting when I fell through said hole.

RIP Mr. Cow Senior, you have been a dear friend!

Carsyn goes to the Amusement Park...err I mean Dentist?

So along with our big girl bed Carsyn also got a big girl dentist appointment scheduled this week!

I am not really sure when the time frame is to have certain appointments for my child but it seemed like other parents I knew were taking their 2 yr olds so I assumed I was too! So I made the appointment for this week. I didn't really know what to expect- Carsyn does not mind brushing her teeth (yet) and she has met the dentist before because she is a family acquaintance so anyway off we went with high hopes!

The dental lab is strictly pediatric and Dr. Lauren has it decorated soo cute! When we walked in I think Carsyn thought we were at a play land! THEN she saw other kids coming out of the back with balloons and toys and goody bags OH MY! She literally was throwing a tantrum to go back to the examining room! It took every distraction tactic I had to keep her calm until it was our turn.

Finally the technician came out to get us. I don't recall her name but she was fabulous! She took Carsyn back to the examining room and went over everything she was going to do and what everything was. I have NEVER seen a child more excited to be at the dentist! She was a little apprehensive when it came time to lay back and have her teeth cleaned but no tears were ever shed! AND want to know her favorite part? For lack of the correct term, the spit-sucker-outer! Yes she thought it was hilarious! Really she did amazing! I could not believe it! So after a tooth count by Dr. L (we are only missing 3 molars) she got rewarded with 2 prizes from the toy chest! And a balloon....AND a bag full of stickers, a new Dora toothbrush, toothpaste, and tooth floss! She didn't want to leave this place! She begged me to brush her teeth when we got home that night! Dr. Lauren yall really know what you're doing over there!

Also when C woke up from her nap this same day I had gotten some of my tea party portrait supplies for my Spring sessions out and put them on her table in her room. She immediately noticed them when she awoke and ran over to play. Never has my child been given tea cups etc but she insticntively knew how to play with them. Aren't little girls the cutest!? I see a tea party birthday party in our future!

So excuse the bedhead and disheveled clothes but I had to capture a few shots of her playing with the tea cups!
